Welcome to the Curran Index, an attributional index of articles in nineteenth-century British periodicals named after its founder, Professor Eileen Curran. This index and website are sponsored by the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals.
As of January 2019 the Curran Index includes 26,000 article entries, including over 5,000 attributed articles in the Saturday Review, and about 1,100 additions and corrections to its precursor, the Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals.  The remanining entries constitute tables of contents with attributions, and contributor bibliographies and biographical comments for:
