    ER, 96, Fuseli’s Lectures on Painting, 453 - 462, Jul 1803, Henry Peter Brougham, Charles Henry Parry, Brougham said that Parry wrote the article and that he simply "put a little salt into it." Eileen M. Curran, VPR 29 (1996), 300; 34 (2001), 346. [review]

    ER, 187, Plowden’s History of Ireland, 152 - 167, Oct 1804, James Loch, Note Jeffrey’s payment to Loch of £16. 10/, ‘which I take to be nearly your quota,’ when this issue of ER was almost ready for publication (Jeffrey to Loch, 7 Oct. 1804: Brougham Early Friends 2:213-215). [review] (08/06)

    ER, 1162, Hieroglyphics, 528 - 539, Dec 1826, James Browne (1793-1841), Francis Jeffrey, Browne republished this work under his own name in 1827.     ER, 1333, Sir D. Sandford’s translation of Thiersch’s Greek Grammar, 472 - 477, Jan 1831, James Browne (1793-1841), Delete WI’s ‘correction,’ 4:786, of their original attribution (1:474), which added C. J. Blomfield as a ‘collaborator.’ Thanks to Dr. Christopher Stray for questioning Wellesley’s contention. [review] (12/07)

    ER, 1342, Müller’s History of the Dorians, 119 - 142, Mar 1831, Unknown, Delete the suggestion that this is possibly by Thomas Flower Ellis. Though it is attributed to Ellis by Thomas Pinney, The letters of Thomas Babington Macaulay, 1 (Cambridge UP, 1974), 267, n.5, those letters do not support the attribution. [review] (12/07)

    ER, 1695, Ancient Scottish Melodies, 192 - 214, Apr 1839, Unknown, Wellesley's suggestion that George Hogarth might have written this review should be deleted; Hogarth was writing a review of this work for the Quarterly, but that review never appeared.     ER, 1963, Cracow in 1845 and 1846, 261 - 295, Apr 1847, Henry Reeve, Prince Consort Francis Charles Albert, Reeve claimed that this article was written with the assistance of the late Prince Consort. [review] (08/06)
