Christian Keepsake and Missionary Annual

The Christian Keepsake and Missionary Annual (1835-1838) was, as its title implies, a different kind of annual. Prose articles were generally either biographical commentaries on religious figures or field reports from missionaries. Verse was religious, sometimes from familiar figures such as Bernard Barton, and sometimes by ministers. Most contributors were dissenters, frequently Congregationalists. The editor was Rev. William Ellis, and the publisher was Fisher, Fisher & Jackson.
