Athenaeum

Most Curran Index data for the Athenaeum comes from City, University of London, which has graciously allowed the Curran Index to incorporate data from their on-line database of reviews published in the Athenaeum (1830 to 1871).

That project was the brainchild of the late Oscar Wellens, and reviewer identities were established by Marysa deMoor. We are all in their debt.

Our further thanks go to Andrew Macfarlane, Co-Director, Centre for HCI Design;  Professor Micheline Beaulieu, Project Director; Sue Holland, Researcher / indexer;  Simon Powell, Web data converter; and to the Pilgrim and Welcome Trusts.
